About this service
Home Hemodialysis is prescribed dialysis treatment performed in the comfort of an eligible patient’s home. Portable dialysis and water-treatment equipment allows treatment to be delivered at home according to the patient’s prescribed schedule. The service is provided by a qualified hemodialysis nurse with doctor supervision and appropriate medical monitoring.
Home Hemodialysis includes
- Dialysis performed in the comfort and privacy of the patient’s home.
- Portable equipment that supports flexible dialysis scheduling.
- Service provided by a qualified hemodialysis nurse with doctor supervision.
- Advanced equipment, including the Fresenius Portable RO and Fresenius 5008S HDF hemodialysis system.
- Patient, vascular-access and home-environment assessments before the service begins.
- Ongoing clinical and vital-sign monitoring during each dialysis session.
